Fulham head coach Alvaro Arbeloa and Leeds United's Harry Wilson celebrating for Wales
The 29-year-old winger left Craven Cottage as a free agent at the end of the 2025-26 season.
It was Leeds who won his signature ahead of numerous transfer rivals, and it looked to be a very shrewd capture indeed.
Wilson scored 36 goals in 187 appearances for Fulham between 2021 to 2026, establishing himself as a quality Premier League player.
But, seven games into his Whites career and the Welsh international is yet to score his first goal, with just the one assist to his name.
Despite that, under-pressure Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa would still surely love to have him in his squad right now.
What has been said impact of Harry Wilson's exit on Alvaro Arbeloa?
Wilson officially left Fulham on 8 July, just one day after Arbeloa was appointed as the Cottagers' new head coach.
Marco Silva had been a very successful manager for Fulham, guiding them to the Premier League in his first season in charge in 2021-22.
From there, the Portuguese coach established Fulham as a mid-table top-flight side, before departing for Benfica this summer.
Arbeloa was entrusted as his successor, but six league games in, and Fulham sit rock-bottom of the Premier League with no wins and four defeats.
Now under big pressure, The Telegraph has detailed Wilson's exit alongside Silva and Raul Jimenez as being their three-most important first-team individuals.
The report claims that Arbeloa is having issues convincing his players to buy into his style of play, with concerns being raised throughout the season already.
Fulham signed three Real Madrid youngsters in Manuel Angel, Cesar Palacios and Gonzalo Garcia to try and help Arbeloa out, but those signings haven't worked out yet.
So, when will Wilson potentially get a crack at his former employers, and how likely is it Arbeloa will still be Fulham boss by then?
How many games do Leeds play before Fulham?
As it stands, Arbeloa feels like the most likely Premier League manager to be axed if things don't start to improve at the Cottage.
Arbeloa does have a big chance over the coming weeks to rescue his position, with league games against Hull, Coventry, Aston Villa and Newcastle as their next four.
Wilson will be itching to really kickstart his Leeds career soon, and there's often no better way to do that than by going up against your old team.
Unfortunately for him, Leeds don't welcome Fulham to Elland Road for their first clash this season until 19 December.
The Whites have nine more league games to play before then, and as things stand right now, that's an awful long time for Arbeloa.
