Enzo Maresca and his players will be hoping to return to winning ways across competitions this weekend, having seen their eight-game winning streak ended by the European champions on Wednesday night.
Coming into the European encounter off the back of a stellar 0-3 win at Liverpool, three quick goals from Paris Saint-Germain largely put the game beyond reach by the half-time interval.
However, three changes from Enzo Maresca inspired a fightback from Manchester City, as two Erling Haaland strikes either side of a Maghnes Akliouche goal left the French giants feeling as though they were "lucky" come full-time, according to manager Luis Enrique.
The weekend's fixture brings newly-promoted Ipswich Town to the Etihad Stadium, with manager Gary O'Neil and his players looking to build on back-to-back wins over Fulham last time out.

Match Referee
The Premier League have confirmed 33-year-old match official Farai Hallam has been appointed the role of match referee for Manchester City's meeting with Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.
The weekend's clash will be Hallam's eighth game across all competitions so far this season, having officiated across the Premier League, EFL Championship, and the Carabao Cup third round.
Across his seven games to date, Farai Hallam has issued a total of 27 yellow cards, is yet to penalise a second bookable offence or issue a straight red card, and has awarded one penalty.
Hallam has only officiated Manchester City on one previous occasion, with that contest coming at the end of January 2026 and Pep Guardiola's side's 2-0 home victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium.
Farai Hallam received widespread praise for a "courageous" decision that day, waving away appeals for a penalty in Manchester City's favour for a potential handball against Wolves' Yerson Mosquera.
Hallam was subsequently sent to the pitchside monitor by the video assistant referee (VAR) to review the incident, before opting to stick with his original decision and announcing to supporters, "After review, the ball hits the arm of the Wolves player, which is in a natural position so the on-field decision will remain".
Former Premier League assistant referee Darren Cann told BBC Sport at the time, "Hallam, officiating in his first Premier League match, made an excellent and courageous call to stick with his on-field decision of no handball."
Cann continued, "This was without doubt the correct decision as Yerson Mosquera's arm was in a justifiable position and the ball was played on to his arm from very close range.
"A brave and correct decision in law from a highly regarded referee making his Premier League debut."
Assistant Referees
Supporting and assisting Farai Hallam at the Etihad Stadium this weekend will be a duo of Adrian Holmes and Simon Long, appointed into the roles of Assistant Referees for the contest.
Video Assistant Referees
Overseeing events from the VAR Hub at Stockley Park this weekend will be referee Andrew Kitchen in the role of Video Assistant Referee, seated alongside fellow official Paul Howard - the game's Assistant Video Assistant Referee.
Fourth Official
Standing between the two dugouts at the Etihad Stadium and managing events involving Manchester City's Enzo Maresca and Ipswich Town's Gary O'Neill will be referee Tom Reeves, appointed into the position of Fourth Official.
