Lazio secured an impressive 3-0 victory over Juventus in Turin, with Gennaro Gattuso praising the courage shown by his players during the Serie A contest. The visitors delivered an effective performance at the Allianz Stadium, taking their opportunities and leaving the home side with plenty to consider after a disappointing defeat.
Juventus had approached the match with confidence following their previous victory against Celta Vigo. However, the Bianconeri struggled to reproduce that form and were unable to make their opportunities count against a Lazio side that proved more effective in front of goal.
Lazio show courage to defeat Juventus
Juventus would have expected to compete strongly on home soil, but Lazio had other ideas. The visitors remained determined throughout the match, showing the resilience and conviction needed to secure all three points against a team with considerable quality in its squad.
The Old Lady had opportunities to take control of the contest, but those chances ultimately went unconverted. As the match progressed, Lazio grew into the game and punished their opponents, turning what could have been a difficult evening into a convincing victory.
Juventus also had to cope without Luciano Spalletti on the touchline. His absence did not help the situation, although the players still needed to demonstrate the quality and determination expected of them. Instead, they struggled to respond as Lazio maintained their momentum.

Gattuso praises Lazio’s mentality
For Lazio, the result represented another encouraging performance in a season in which they have impressed. Juventus might have been expected to provide a stern test, but the visitors showed they were capable of handling the pressure and competing effectively away from home.
Gattuso was pleased with the mentality his players displayed, particularly their willingness to endure difficult periods without losing their composure. Speaking via Tuttojuve, he highlighted the importance of their approach after the final whistle.
“Courage, we didn’t get our arm today. We knew how to suffer, I really enjoyed this tonight.”
Gattuso’s comments reflected his satisfaction with the way Lazio approached the contest. Their ability to withstand pressure and take advantage of their opportunities proved decisive against Juventus.
For the Bianconeri, however, the defeat raises questions about their consistency and their ability to respond when matches become difficult. Spalletti will need his players to show greater determination in the coming weeks, as further disappointing results could increase the pressure on his position as manager.
