Luciano Moggi has blasted Gleison Bremer for his role in Lazio’s 3-0 win against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium at the weekend, as he expected a much better performance from the Brazilian defender. Bremer is one of the most reliable players in Italian football and has hardly put a foot wrong when he plays for the Old Lady, which is why he is one of their captains.
The defender remains a top player, but it was a bad day at the office for most Juve players, including him, who should have done better in the final goal scored by Lazio. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru drove through from midfield to score, and Bremer was escorting him for a long stretch before he pulled the trigger, and the defender probably should have stopped him long before he got into a comfortable shooting position.
Moggi’s Criticism of Bremer
Bremer was not in good form in that game, and Luciano Moggi was not happy. He said via Tuttomercatoweb:
“The coach is missing; that’s the underlying problem. If he says that publicly, it’s right. Bremer, in my opinion, made a huge mistake on the third goal; he followed him for 500 meters and let him shoot. Everyone’s thinking about their own interests.”

Broader Concerns for Juventus
Moggi’s comments highlight broader concerns about the team’s organisation, with the coach’s absence seen as a key issue. Bremer’s uncharacteristic lapse is a concern, but the defender’s overall quality means he will look to bounce back. The defeat has exposed weaknesses that need addressing.
Juventus’s defensive solidity has been a strength, but this performance was a setback. The club will expect a response, and Bremer’s leadership will be crucial in that. The coming fixtures will show whether the team can regain its composure.
Supporters will hope this was an isolated lapse, as Bremer’s track record suggests he can return to form. The manager’s role in addressing the issues will be key, and the club’s response will be watched closely. The pressure is on to bounce back quickly.
