Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti has thrown his support behind Bayern Munich’s superstar, describing Harry Kane’s victory as the logical outcome given his extraordinary quality and goalscoring numbers.
Spalletti revealed that he and his coaching staff discussed the award and came to the same conclusion.
“I talked about it with my staff, and we thought it was right that it was given to him. It was the logical choice given the quality of the player. He has frightening numbers, even though he’s not always highlighted like some other players are. That’s how it should be,” Spalletti said (as captured by Football Italia via @iMiaSanMia).
Kane has consistently delivered at Bayern Munich, combining elite finishing with intelligent link-up play, a relentless work rate, and a willingness to put the team first. His impact goes far beyond the goals, even if those numbers are impossible to ignore.
Coming from a rival coach in Italian football, Spalletti’s praise is another reminder of the respect Kane commands across the game.
The Ballon d’Or is his, and the recognition keeps coming. Now, Bayern Munich will hope their superstar can turn individual glory into the ultimate team prize: the Champions League trophy.
