Juventus have the second-weakest attack among the top ten in Serie A and rank 18th for expected goals from open play in the first nine league games of the campaign.

Juventus suffered their second defeat in their last three Serie A matches on Wednesday, falling 2-0 away at Genoa.

Juventus have worrying numbers all over the pitch, from attack to defence, but Sky Sport Italia’s post-match show on Wednesday focused on Bianconeri stats in the final third.

Juventus sit 16th in Serie A for total expected goals (0.93), 18th for expected goals from open play (0.64), and for shots from inside the box (5.84).

The only decent indicator comes from shots from outside the box. With an average of 4.75 per game, Juventus rank fourth in the league.

Furthermore, the Serie A giants have only scored 11 goals in the opening nine Serie A matches. Only Cagliari have fewer in the top ten, with eight.

Juventus’ next Serie A match is against Napoli at the Allianz Stadium in Turin this coming Sunday.
