Luciano Spalletti has apologised to Juventus supporters after his team’s shock loss to Genoa last night, as the men in black and white failed to secure points once again. Juventus beat Lecce in their previous game, and fans were hopeful that the team would win back-to-back matches, even though Genoa had become a difficult team to beat at home and were unbeaten in four matches at the Marassi before facing the Bianconeri.
Juventus tried their best to avoid embarrassment, but their poor start to the match led to them conceding twice in the first half. Given how difficult it has been for them to score in recent matches, that early setback proved costly.
Spalletti Apologises to Fans
The players at the Allianz Stadium know that more is expected of them, and losing in the manner they did was simply not good enough. They must improve quickly, and as soon as the match ended, Spalletti did not hesitate to apologise for his team’s performance in another defeat.
As quoted by Tuttojuve, the manager said: “Meanwhile, the fans are being apologized for the performance, which is the first thing to do. Then, now on everything that is said can be wrong and it also becomes difficult to say, so it definitely takes some time to be able to focus the situation well, because it is difficult to talk about what could be the fact that Baldanzi has dug into our position a bit down there under our defense or behind our midfielders, because then we never managed to find him, break him, find, let’s say, the right balance to be able to get on him, but Beyond that, then we put our own spin on the goals they scored.”

Tactical Issues Must Be Solved
Spalletti’s comments highlight both the disappointment felt by the club and the tactical difficulties Juventus encountered. Genoa found space between the defence and midfield, particularly through Baldanzi, and Juventus were unable to adjust effectively.
The manager acknowledged that his side failed to find the right balance and contributed to the goals they conceded. Juventus must now address those issues quickly, restore confidence, and deliver a response that matches the expectations of their supporters.
