Juventus consider Andrea Cambiaso one of their most important players, and when he was injured, the club did everything possible to get him back on the pitch. Much was expected of him upon his return, but so far he has simply been poor for the men in black and white, and Juventus are looking to ensure that he improves.
It has been a difficult campaign for the team, and the Bianconeri need their key players to step up and begin performing better. That includes Cambiaso, who understands the expectations placed upon him and is doing his best to repay the club’s trust. However, his efforts have not yet produced the required standard.
Di Canio Criticises Cambiaso
Paolo Di Canio watched Cambiaso in the game against Genoa and was not impressed by what he saw, having expected much better from the defender. Many Juventus players disappointed him with their performances in that match and in recent weeks.
After the game, Di Canio said of Cambiaso, as quoted by Calciomercato: “In Lecce you can do well because you start with a careful 3-5-2 and find a play, also because many teams in Italy are not that strong. You can’t see the light, players like Kalulu who were certainties for reliability you see them make these mistakes. And then Cambiaso running like a child behind his opponent: Juve is truly chaos.”

Pressure on Juventus to Respond
Di Canio’s comments reflect broader concern about Juventus’ lack of organisation and reliability. His criticism of Cambiaso suggests that even trusted players are failing to meet the standards expected at a club of Juventus’ stature.
Cambiaso now faces pressure to respond strongly. He must regain his form, improve his defensive concentration, and provide the leadership and quality Juventus need from one of their most important players. Unless the Bianconeri’s key individuals raise their level, the team’s difficulties are likely to continue.
