Juventus continue to struggle for consistency, with the Bianconeri finding it increasingly difficult to secure victories. As concerns grow over their disappointing performances, former defender Ciro Ferrara believes responsibility for the team’s problems must be shared by everyone involved at the club.
Juve have endured difficult periods over recent seasons and know they must improve if they are to compete successfully for major honours. Although the squad has the quality to perform better than it currently does, finding a solution to their poor form has proved challenging.
Ferrara calls for collective responsibility
Juventus are also dealing with several injuries, and the return of key players could help improve their performances. However, waiting for injured stars to become available cannot be their only response to the current situation. The team must find ways to collect points with the players at Spalletti’s disposal.
Ferrara believes the responsibility for turning things around should not fall exclusively on the manager or individual players. Instead, he has called for a collective effort involving the coaching staff, the squad and the club’s leadership.
Speaking via Tuttomercatoweb, he explained why everyone must accept their share of responsibility for Juventus’ difficulties.
“When these situations arise we cannot think that one is more responsible than the other.
“At the moment, the coach, players and club are involved in the same way. Everyone must be able to assume their responsibilities. The look of the players under the Juventus curve seems lost. Body language demonstrates the difficulties, even the fears of not being able to play a match up to par. Juventus made some gross mistakes tonight, but they went through a lot of transitions. Genoa looked like they could go beyond 2-0 and that should give you pause”.

Juventus must find a way forward
Ferrara’s assessment highlights concerns about the team’s confidence as well as its performances. The body language of the players and their apparent uncertainty on the pitch suggest that the problems extend beyond individual mistakes.
The former Juventus defender also pointed to the opportunities Genoa created, warning that the opposition could have increased their lead beyond 2-0. Such moments underline the defensive and organisational issues that the Bianconeri must address.
Spalletti now faces the challenge of restoring confidence while improving the team’s performances. The players must also take responsibility for their displays, while the club needs to ensure it provides the support required to address the situation.
Juventus cannot afford to allow this difficult spell to continue unchecked. A united response will be essential if they are to regain consistency and keep their season on track.
