Juventus are expected to renew their search for a left back after failing to sign one during the final stages of the previous transfer window. Luciano Spalletti was reluctant to rely on Juan Cabal this season, and the club continued searching for an alternative until deadline day.
However, Juventus had to abandon their plans after failing to sell Cabal to Atalanta, a move they had expected to facilitate a new signing. With that transfer falling through, the club could not proceed with their search for another player in the position.
The setback has not ended Juventus’ interest in strengthening their defence, as Spalletti remains keen to bring in a new left back. The club reportedly believe Cabal needs to leave, making his future an important part of their plans.
Juventus identify a Premier League target
Juventus have identified a potential replacement in the Premier League, having already recruited Lloyd Kelly from English football. Kelly has performed well in Turin, and the club could look to add another English player to their squad during the next two transfer windows.
According to Sport Mediaset, Juventus are interested in Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell. The left-back has consistently been among the top defenders in England over recent seasons and has attracted attention for his performances.
Mitchell has been tipped to do well if he leaves Palace, with a departure potentially coming sooner than expected. Juventus are now considering whether he could be the right addition as they look to improve their options on the left side of defence.

Mitchell has been on Juventus’ radar for years
Juve have followed Mitchell for several seasons, so their reported interest is not new. Spalletti believes the Crystal Palace defender has the qualities needed to make an impact at Juventus, particularly because of his ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch.
The manager wants a left back who can offer defensive reliability while also helping the team going forward. Mitchell’s profile appears to fit those requirements, which could make him a serious option when Juventus return to the transfer market.
