There’s a big match at the Curva Fiesole fast approaching: Juventus are coming to town on Monday for a 20:30 CET kick-off, in Matchday 5 of the 2026/27 Serie A Women season.
The Viola are determined to win this fixture in order to stay in the chase at the top of the league. Ahead of the match Norwegian defender Oda Johansen shared her thoughts:
“I've grown a lot in confidence since last year. I’m playing further forward and I’ve got more knowledge of what I should do. I think confidence is very important in football.
“I think we’re excited to play against them \[Juventus\] because they’re a good team that we should’ve beaten last year. If we play with confidence and our style of play, I think we’ll definitely win. If we play with belief then we’re actually very good.
“I still want to be very active, aggressive and work with the winger so we can combine and overlap, underlap and put in crosses.
“I love the city more and more. It's one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been to. I like to explore Florence a lot, going to restaurants or doing things with friends and family who visit.”
