Juventus needs to stop hurrying and build with Spalletti

Luciano Spalletti could be facing the sack at Juventus if the club’s results do not improve over the coming weeks. Such a decision would potentially leave the Bianconeri facing another rebuild, continuing a period of considerable instability at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus have enjoyed years among the leading clubs in Europe, but their recent struggles have raised concerns about the direction of the team. Although they have produced some encouraging performances this season, consistency remains a major issue for a club with their ambitions.

The pressure is particularly significant in Serie A, where Inter Milan and Lazio have set the pace this term. Juventus need to improve if they are to compete with the leading sides, but another managerial change could create further disruption.

Juventus urged to show patience with Spalletti

The club have already gone through several rebuilding periods since 2020 and appointed at least five different managers over the last six years. That level of turnover is unusual for a team of Juventus’ stature and raises questions about their long-term planning.

Spalletti may not remain in charge beyond the second half of the season if results continue to disappoint. However, former Juventus player Giuliano Giannichedda believes the club should resist the temptation to make another major change.

He feels that Juventus have repeatedly made the mistake of rushing decisions instead of allowing managers and players enough time to develop a clear project. In his view, patience and a consistent plan are essential if the club are to return to their previous level.

Giannichedda calls for a long-term project

Giannichedda has pointed to the need for Juventus to focus on building rather than repeatedly starting again. Speaking via Tuttomercatoweb, he explained why he believes the club must change its approach.

“Today we don’t need to change; Juve’s mistake in recent years is that they’re in too much of a hurry and never think about building. With the coaches and the players. There’s a path to follow, Milan and Juve have the name, but if they don’t understand that they have to build without rushing, they can’t recover. If someone is always in a hurry to change, they can’t build anymore. Juve must go back to being Juve.”
