Juventus are not among the wealthiest clubs in terms of current spending power after failing to qualify for the Champions League. However, they continue to monitor high-profile players and will attempt to strengthen their squad when opportunities arise.
One player now on their radar is Martin Odegaard, with the Arsenal captain being linked with a possible departure from the Gunners. Although he remains an important player for Mikel Arteta, that does not necessarily mean he would be unwilling to test himself at another leading European club.
Juventus monitor Odegaard
-------------------------
Bayern Munich have been following Odegaard, and reports this week suggested that he is open to a move to Bavaria. That development has encouraged Juventus, who are also interested in signing the midfielder as they look to add more quality to their squad.
Juventus have long admired Odegaard, but they had previously believed he was unlikely to leave Arsenal. If he is now open to joining Bayern, the Bianconeri believe that he could also consider a move to another club, provided the circumstances are right.
According to [Tuttojuve](https://www.tuttojuve.com/calciomercato/juventus-occasione-odegaard-capitano-arsenal-partire-bayern-corsa-bianconeri-finestra-798772), Juventus are keen to ensure that their team includes some of the best players on the continent. However, their chances of signing Odegaard depend heavily on securing a return to the Champions League.
Champions League is crucial
---------------------------
The report states that Juventus must finish inside the top four before they can seriously consider making a bid for Odegaard. Without Champions League football, the club would have little chance of persuading the Arsenal captain to join them.
On their current form and league position, Odegaard would not even consider a move to Juventus. The Bianconeri therefore need to improve their results and secure qualification for Europe’s leading competition before entering the race for his signature.
