Luciano Spalletti has ordered his Juventus players into a training retreat as they attempt to salvage their season following the midweek defeat to Genoa. The result added to concerns about their performances ahead of this weekend’s meeting with Napoli.
Juventus had already shown signs of struggling before that setback. Their victory over Lecce was far from convincing, and although they secured the win, the performance made it clear that improvement was needed before their next outing.
Juventus seek a response
That improvement did not arrive against Genoa, leaving Juventus under greater pressure as they prepare to face Napoli. Rather than building on the Lecce result with a stronger display, they suffered another setback in their efforts to turn their season around.
The Napoli fixture is now a match they cannot afford to lose. Spalletti has summoned the entire squad to the retreat, including injured players, as Juventus seek a response to their recent difficulties and prepare for the challenge ahead.
According to Tuttojuve, Kenan Yildiz has also been called into the camp as the team works towards returning to the pitch in better shape. His inclusion means he remains involved in the retreat despite being unavailable for the upcoming match.

Yildiz continues his recovery
The attacker will not feature against Napoli, but he has joined his teammates while continuing his efforts to return to action. Juventus hope to have him available again as soon as possible, although he will be absent for this weekend’s encounter.
Yildiz is also eager to make his comeback and hopes his wait will not be prolonged. For now, his involvement is limited to being with the squad during the retreat, while the available players prepare for a match that carries considerable importance.
Juventus regard themselves as one of the leading teams and recognise that their recent performances have fallen short of that standing. The immediate task is to improve against Napoli, with Spalletti bringing the squad together before another demanding fixture.
