Juventus secured a 2-0 victory over Napoli in Turin following several days of disappointing performances and a retreat that kept the players at the club’s training facility for several days ahead of the match.
Luciano Spalletti knew the importance of securing a positive result against his former team. Napoli had also won their previous match comfortably, making this a challenging encounter for the Bianconeri, who needed to respond after their recent struggles.
Juventus started the match in a 4-4-2 formation, with the first half proving to be a cagey affair between the two sides. Despite their efforts, the men in black and white struggled to break down Napoli’s defensive organisation and create clear opportunities.
Juventus improve after the break

At the other end, however, Juventus remained defensively organised and made it difficult for the Partenopei to penetrate their backline and threaten their goal. The hosts were therefore forced to remain patient, waiting for the right opportunity to take control, but neither side managed to find a breakthrough before half-time.
The second half brought a noticeable improvement from Juventus, who began to play with greater confidence and attacking intent. The introduction of Federico Gatti and Edon Zhegrova proved important, as the Old Lady gradually gained control and started putting Napoli under increasing pressure.
Their improved performance eventually paid off when Kerim Alajbegovic produced a stunning finish to give Juventus the lead. Zhegrova provided an excellent assist, allowing the hosts to take a deserved advantage following their stronger second-half display.

Boga seals an important victory
-------------------------------
The opening goal gave Juventus additional confidence, and they continued to control proceedings rather than allow Napoli to regain their momentum. The Bianconeri recognised the importance of finding a second goal to strengthen their position and avoid giving their opponents an opportunity to mount a comeback.
That additional goal eventually arrived through Jeremie Boga, who produced another spectacular finish from outside the penalty area. His effort doubled Juventus’ advantage and made the challenge facing Napoli considerably more difficult.
The 2-0 victory represented an important response from Juventus after their disappointing performances in the preceding days. Their improvement after the interval, combined with the impact of their substitutions and two excellent finishes, ensured they secured all three points in Turin.
