Juventus have several talented players in their squad, but their attacking department remains an area of concern because they do not currently have a striker who consistently scores goals and makes the difference in important matches. The Bianconeri have tried to improve their options up front, but their current forwards have yet to provide the reliability expected of a team competing for major honours.
Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade were added to the squad during the last transfer window as Juventus looked to increase their attacking firepower. The club hoped their arrival would provide more goals and give the team greater options in the final third.
Kolo Muani had already demonstrated his quality during his previous spell at the Allianz Stadium, but he has struggled since returning and needs to improve his contribution. Juventus will be hoping he can rediscover the form that made him an important attacking option during his earlier time with the club.
Juventus need a dependable goalscorer
The Bianconeri have previously relied on established forwards such as Dusan Vlahovic and Cristiano Ronaldo to lead their attack. Their current situation is different, with the responsibility now falling on Woltemade and Kolo Muani to provide the goals needed to compete at the highest level.
It is not necessarily the position Juventus wanted to find themselves in, but they must make the most of their available options. Both forwards have qualities that can help the team, although their contributions in front of goal will need to become more consistent.
Former striker Dario Hubner believes Juventus cannot realistically compete for the league title or other major trophies without a centre forward who can guarantee a significant number of goals. He argues that the responsibility cannot always fall on midfielders and wingers to decide matches.

Hubner explains the importance of a prolific striker
Speaking via Tuttojuve, Hubner highlighted the importance of having a forward capable of scoring twenty goals in a season.
“I believe that a team that wants to win the Scudetto or a cup must have a striker capable of scoring twenty goals a season. If you don’t have one, you can’t always count on the other players to decide the game. Juventus has won thanks to its midfielders and wingers, but a team that truly aims to win must have a center forward who can guarantee a certain number of goals. It’s crucial.”
While goals from midfield and the wings remain valuable, Juventus needs its forwards to take responsibility and become reliable sources of goals throughout the campaign.
