Pedro Porro is reportedly on the radar of both Real Madrid and Barcelona. In fact, Barcelona have already reached out to the Spurs full-back about a potential move to Camp Nou in January or next summer.

Porro has refused to rule out joining either of the La Liga giants, admitting that returning to Spanish football remains his dream. He did, however, maintain that he wants to be respectful to Tottenham.

He said: “Obviously, I’d love to return to Spain someday. It’s my country, and I like the league. Right now, it would be very unfair to talk about anything other than my club because I’m under contract, but obviously, I’d love to go back to Spain; it’s a big dream of mine.”

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold move could pave the way for Pedro Porro’s exit from Tottenham

Cadena SER have now revealed that Liverpool are exploring a move to re-sign Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has struggled for game time at the Santiago Bernabeu this season.

Federico Valverde has become Jose Mourinho’s preferred option at right-back while summer signing Denzel Dumfries is the back-up, leaving Alexander-Arnold frustrated with the situation.

The Reds are now plotting a move to re-sign their academy graduate on an initial loan deal from Madrid.

This could be significant for Spurs as it is revealed that Mourinho wants to bring Porro through the door as Alexander-Arnold’s replacement.

While the Tottenham man’s preferred destination remains Barca, Los Blancos are not ruling out hijacking their rival’s Porro pursuit.

Why Spurs will be relatively relaxed about Porro’s situation

The right-back signed a new five-year deal in the summer, which means that Tottenham hold all the cards on his future. It has been suggested that Spurs would demand £75m for Porro, which represents a record fee for a full-back.

Tottenham’s asking price is expected to make the deal really challenging for the two La Liga giants, but Barca are expected to greenlight player sales in order to be able to afford the Spurs man.
